CalderaRIP Version 18.1

Caldera releases new CalderaRIP update

May 12, 2025

Caldera, a pioneer in software solutions for the digital printing industry, has announced the release of CalderaRIP Version 18.1, the latest update to its award-winning RIP software. This new version brings over 20 new print drivers, enhanced disk overload prevention, and productivity tools exclusive to CalderaCare subscribers.

Designed to optimize performance and prevent costly downtimes, disk overload prevention is now integrated directly into the RIP. This proactive system helps users maintain efficient production by avoiding disk saturation and production downtimes.

Furthermore, Version 18.1 introduces two features exclusive to CalderaCare subscribers. Users can now import and export Hotfolder configurations across different workstations, making it easier to replicate setups without manual re-entry. This enhancement streamlines configuration sharing, saving valuable setup time in multi-user environments. On the other hand, jobs initiated via the REST API can now be set to auto-delete once completed, reducing the need for manual cleanup and helping maintain optimal disk usage.

In addition to these enhancements, Version 18.1 significantly expands CalderaRIP’s compatibility by adding more than 20 new drivers to the installer, further broadening support for the latest printers and print technologies. New drivers include the latest Vutek, HP, Mimaki, swissQprint, Kornit and Epson models. Click here for more information about our supported peripherals
