Avoid performance & compatibility issues
Before using any Caldera software, it is important to ensure your workstation meets the minimum system requirements. This will guarantee an optimal user experience while avoiding performance and compatibility issues. Check hardware requirements, OS compatibilities and supported file formats for CalderaRIP and PrimeCenter.
Minimal hardware configuration
Here are the minimal hardware requirements to ensure that your Caldera software will function properly.

OS compatibilities
Check the OS compatibility of Caldera solutions in the table below. Note that older software versions are no longer supported. More information is available on the Support & Hotline page.
CalderaRIP, CalderaDock and PrimeCenter do not officially support macOS 15 Sequoia yet. We recommend you do not update your current Caldera installation, or your software might not work as expected. Our team is actively working to ensure compatibility with macOS Sequoia at the earliest possible time.

Supported file formats
Caldera software support the most common file formats used in digital printing applications.
CalderaRIP supports PDF, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, PSB (v12 or above), BMP, PNG, HPGL, PostScript level 3
PrimeCenter supports the following input file formats: PDF, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, PS, PNG, and AI.
Device & software compatibilities
Caldera solutions integrate in most production environments to ensure a seamless workflow.
CalderaRIP is compatible with more than 1900 large-format printers and cutters. Please refer to the Supported devices to check whether your equipment is compatible.
PrimeCenter is compatible with any RIP software, and with any cutter controller supporting PDF. It remains the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their RIP software properly supports the PDF file format according to industry standards for PDF.
PrimeCenter can be fully integrated with CalderaRIP and Zünd Cut Center (ZCC). When exporting cut files, the following formats are available: PDF and ZCC. PLT (HPGL) and DXF are also available starting from PrimeCenter 3.2.0.
