Caldera reminds all customers still using CalderaRIP Version 13 that starting December 31, 2022, this version of our software will no longer be supported.
At this date, technical assistance for Version 13 will not be available from Caldera, including hotline and remote control of your RIP station. We will focus our support and resources on more recent versions, in order to deliver high-quality technical assistance and customer service.
Can I still use CalderaRIP Version 13?
Yes – You will be able to continue using Version 13 with your current set-up and print environment. However, if you need drivers for new printing or cutting devices, these can only be supplied for CalderaRIP Version 16, which will require you to upgrade.
Can I upgrade to Version 16?
Yes – Caldera encourages all our customers to get the best out of our software, by being on the latest version. To find out how to upgrade to Version 16 and how much it will cost, please contact your Caldera reseller or sales contact.
How can I keep my software continuously updated?
Caldera offers a support and maintenance contract called CalderaCare. With this subscription, you will be ensured that all your software products will be kept up-to-date with the latest versions and enhancements. CalderaCare also includes SLA (Service Level Agreement) support, where our team of technical experts will be on hand to respond and to help you keep your production up and running when you need it the most.
As of December 31st, 2022, Version 13 customers will have to purchase a new RIP license to be on our latest version (Version 16). However, in some cases, customers will be able to Trade-In their current V13 license to receive a discount on a new Caldera package. Please contact us or your reseller for more information.
