Caldera Announces New Update for Version 13.1

16 July 2020

French printing software company Caldera has announced the release of the latest update of its market-leading RIP software, CalderaRIP Version 13.1Update 200623 brings a range of new features, numerous bug fixes, and supports a new X-Rite spectrophotometer. This new update continues to expand the award-winning software’s abilities to further enhance the user experience.

Arnaud Fabre, Product Manager at Caldera, says: “While the COVID-19 crisis still affects many of our customers around the world, Caldera wants to support their day-to-day operations by delivering enhancements to their cutting capabilities, allowing them to save time and media while producing social-distancing signs. Also, the automation of color measurements with the support of the X-Rite i1iO3 table is a really important step for our users who want to automate color matching while reducing manual work.

Indeed, CalderaRIP software now supports the third generation of X-Rite table. X-Rite i1iO3 table is an automatic, chart reading system composed of a table and an automated arm handling an i1Pro3 device. It brings a new level of automation for color perfectionists who want to speed up the measurement process and eliminate manual strip reading of printer test targets. It comes with the precooked targets for the small aperture model in EasyMedia (i1Pro3 Plus targets for textile will come later). The embedded X-Rite ICC Color Engine delivers high-quality profiles to control and match colors.

Also, this new build for CalderaRIP Version 13.1 brings additional features for cutter drivers.

Graphtec CE7000 now supports Ethernet connection in order to optimize your physical production environment.

Users owning Summa S2 PostNet cutter in conjunction with a larger flatbed printer can now have different cutting and printing orientation (cutter barcodes placed on the right and left sides of the print) in order to improve the print speed while maintaining cutting accuracy.

Furthermore, CalderaRIP now supports the DXF (Drawing eXchange Format) R14 file format, which includes Bezier Curves for smoother rounded cut lines. Note that your cutter controller needs to support this format in order to benefit from this feature.

Finally, with the aim of further helping Caldera users streamline their print and cut workflow, this new build provides numerous bug fixes to save time in day-to-day operations.

The complete list of bug fixes included in CalderaRIP Update 200623 is available on Caldera Workspace.
